C.H.E.R.I. ownUrHealthTM Application
The ownUrHealth™ app, birthed by Norwu Howard, MSN, FNP, in 2020, and developed by TUMA Enterprises, Liberia, is a digital telehealth platform that allows users to:
- Store their personal health information securely
- Access virtual medical consultations
- Track blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, and BMI
- Receive individualized health and wellness recommendations
- Connect with licensed healthcare providers and facilities.
The app was first trialed by “The Wellness Partners”, a healthcare institution owned and operated by Dr. Nicole Cooper; a MOU was signed in 2021 for beta testing of the ownUrHealth™. The app was placed in the Apple and Google play stores in 2022 and was available till 2024. Unfortunately, it was taken down in late 2024 due to the lack of uptake. We remain committed to re-introducing the app after sensitizing the population; it is a key part of C.H.E.R.I.’s vision for digital health transformation in Liberia.
